CONE THE WEIRD has developed his distinctive visual universe through character design. The figurative, particularly the exploration of the human body and its deformations, has always been at the heart of his work. His art is also enriched by symbolic imagery, which invites personal interpretation while offering deeper content. Many works exist as variations, creating links between different media, such as a drawing on paper and a mural. Cone The Weird is known for his intricate ink drawings, characterized by rich detail and meticulous hatching.
For a long time, his creative focus was mainly on black and white works. However, since the pandemic, colour has made a significant comeback in his art. A shift in composition is also noticeable, with his work now displaying an increasingly fragmented structure and an arrangement of key scenes in collage form, often presented in close-up. This evolution has given rise to a new visual language while maintaining his signature style. Interdisciplinary work has always played an important role in his career, as evidenced by the diversity of his projects.
Cone The Weird was born and raised in Munich, now lives in Saarbrücken, and works mainly in the Greater Region (Germany, France, Luxembourg, Belgium). From 2022 to 2024, he held a visiting professorship in illustration and communication design at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar. His exhibitions and wall projects frequently take him abroad. In addition, Cone The Weird has been a DJ and record collector for over 20 years.
